The light from the moon
Flirts with the clouds
As they slide by.
How could it resist?
Fog from our breath
Tickles our faces like scarves
As we sing to the street.
Freezing feet send us
To the neglected elevator.
The pressure of our voices
Causes a slow rise and fall.
I’d hate to smother the sound
But how could I resist?
